The Wine Cellar is Open
The Wine Cellar is open Friday evenings in June — June 5, June 13, June 20, and June 27 — from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Slip away to our stunning speakeasy-style wine cellar, featuring a full bar, curated music, and an intimate atmosphere.
Please note: Always check this page before heading over. Occasionally the Wine Cellar is reserved for a private function and will not be open to the public that evening. We will update this page if a Friday night is unavailable.
Sippin' Sunday 2026
Join The Saluda Inn Wine Cellar for SIPPIN' SUNDAY — the third Sunday of every month, 4–7 PM. Music starts at 4:30 and plays until 6:30 PM. Preorder food when you book your ticket and enjoy at your leisure during the performance! Please call the Inn for details: 828-388-9027.
Sippin' Sunday featuring Owen Walsh
The Saluda Inn presents June's Sippin' Sunday with live music by Owen Walsh — one of Western North Carolina's most captivating performers. Join us in The Wine Cellar at 229 Greenville Street for an unforgettable Sunday afternoon in the mountains.
Owen takes the stage at 4:30 PM and plays through 6:30 PM. Doors open at 4:00 PM. Food and a full bar will be available for purchase at the event.
Tickets are $15 per person and non-refundable unless the show is postponed or canceled by The Saluda Inn. Seating is limited — don't wait.

3rd Annual 'Turf and Tunes' — Coon Dog Weekend
Concert on Coon Dog Weekend
Our beloved annual outdoor concert returns for its third year on Coon Dog Weekend — one of Saluda's most celebrated local traditions. Join us on the Grand Lawn for an evening of live music with The Otter Dogs, great company, and mountain summer magic.
Your $33 ticket includes the full concert. Doors open at 5:00 PM — grab a drink, find your spot on the lawn, and settle in for four hours of live music under the Blue Ridge sky.

Race Packet Pickup
No concert ticket required · Friday, July 10 · 4:30–6:30 PM
The Saluda Inn is the official race packet pickup location for runners participating in the Coon Dog Day 5K on Saturday, July 11. No concert ticket is required to pick up your packet — just stop by between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. Last year over 200 runners grabbed their packets on Friday evening.
As a thank-you to our runners, The Saluda Inn will provide a complimentary snack when you pick up your packet. If you'd like to stay for the concert afterward, tickets are $33 — doors open at 5:00 PM!

Let's Mahjong — Mahjong Retreat at The Saluda Inn
Escape to the mountains for our first-ever Mahjong Retreat — a relaxing weekend of Mahjong, exceptional food, meaningful connections, and lots of fun. Beginner lessons led by Haymahj instructor Miranda George. No experience necessary — we will have everything you need: tables, chairs, tiles, and table mats/boards are all furnished. FRIDAY, AUGUST 21
- ·3:00 PM — Check-in. Rooms sleep one person comfortably; an additional guest can be added for a fee covering food and lessons.
- ·6:00 PM — Crafted Flatbread Pizza Bar in the Wine Cellar paired with Artisan Italian Salad (included)
- ·Cocktails, wine & beer available for purchase in the Wine Cellar
- ·8:00 PM — Check out the Lobby set up with Mahjong boards and tables. Miranda will be on hand to answer questions and get you acquainted.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22
- ·9:00–10:00 AM — Breakfast Charcuterie spread in the Sunroom with mimosas (included)
- ·10:30 AM — Miranda begins teaching everyone to play
- ·12:30 PM — Make Your Own Rice Bowl Bar with all the fixings in the Wine Cellar (included)
- ·2:00 PM — Let's play Mahjong! Miranda will continue teaching and assisting groups as you play.
- ·6:30 PM — Dinner on your own. We'll gladly assist with reservations. We're making a group reservation at The Purple Onion — let us know if you'd like to join, or feel free to do your own thing. Dinner is at your expense.
- ·8:00–8:30 PM — Come back to the Inn and play more Mahjong. Drinks available for purchase.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 23
- ·9:00–10:00 AM — Continental Breakfast served in the Sunroom (included)
- ·11:00 AM — Checkout of rooms. Pick up your special gift from The Saluda Inn at the guest services front desk.
- ·Want to squeeze in one more game before you go? Let us know and we'll leave some tables set up.
- ·2:00 PM — The Saluda Inn closes for the day.

Your Instructor
Miranda George
Miranda George has been playing Mahjong since December 2023. Being an only child and always loving games, she was immediately hooked — and excited to find people to keep playing with her. After taking a second 101 class with Hayden Wilson of Haymahj, they immediately hit it off, and Miranda continued to play and assist Hayden with classes as needed. In June 2024, Miranda officially became one of three Haymahj instructors. She has since taught many classes, hosted Mahjong nights, and facilitated tournaments. Through Mahjong she has formed wonderful friendships and community within Greenville, SC — and loves how the game brings people together.
